Thanks to the official license of the title race, in the Tour de France 2021, players can race on its real 21 stages, taking part in the struggles of the 2021 season. In addition, there are other real races in the game, such as Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix and Liege-Bastogne -Liege (as well as a number of unofficial competitions like the Breizh Cup, Euro Tour, Giro di Como or World Cup) The license also covers the players with whom we compete; among them we can find 19 World Tour teams (wearing official T-shirts) and Alpecin-Fenix, B&B Hotels P / B KTM or even Total Direct Engine. The list of licensed elements of the game is closed by brands, the list of which has been expanded with several new items (thanks to which we can see HJC or POC helmets in the game, Merida or Canyon frames, or even Vision and Specialized wheels), and finally official objects set up on racing routes (like pennants or arcs with the number of kilometers).
Career mode
Depending on the selected game mode, in the described production we can play the role of a single cyclist or lead the entire team. In the Pro Leader mode, we create our player from scratch, giving him one of four profiles - mountaineer, sprinter, puncher or all-rounder. The decision made at this stage will have an impact on how our cyclist will perform in individual races (winning the Tour de France does not necessarily translate into victories in other competitions). In the Pro Team module, on the other hand, we start with our team at the last level of the cycling career and, with successive victories, we climb to its top, gaining the opportunity to start in more and more prestigious competitions.
Game modes
In addition to the Pro Leader and Pro Team modes, the My Tour module is waiting to be tested in the Tour de France 2021, in which we create our own competition, choosing from 89 stages. The game also gives us the opportunity to take part in single races, test ourselves in special prepared challenges or, finally, play a training session. In addition, the title offers an extensive editor that allows you to freely modify individual players and teams.
