The main opponents are creatures called Tyranids.  Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a fairly classic, turn-based strategy game in which we observe the action from various perspectives (most often from above, but we can move the camera freely). The player's task is to manage units on the battlefield in such a way as to defeat the opponents.  The key role here is played by both the appropriate positioning of soldiers, as well as the use of their various weapons and dozens of different special abilities.
