Sleeping Dogs is a third-person action game with an open world, characterized by a much more extensive than in other titles of this type of hand-to-hand combat system. Originally, it was supposed to be the third part of the True Crime series (subtitled Hong Kong), but after legal perturbations it turned out to be necessary to change the name of the production. The Canadian studio United Front Games, founded in 2007, is responsible for creating this item.  The fun takes place in the Far East, Hong Kong. When creating the plot, the developer was strongly inspired by Asian sensational films from John Woo's school, such as Hard Boiled (Children of the Triad). We play the role of detective Wei Shen, who tries to infiltrate the structures of a dangerous criminal organization - Sun On Yee. In order to gain the gangsters' trust, Wei must obey orders, climbing the hierarchy of the mafia. The road leads through many smaller and larger orders, during which we fight with hand-to-hand opponents, sit behind the wheel of fast cars, jump on roofs, take part in shootings, etc. The above-mentioned items are the main content of Sleeping Dogs. The hero quickly learns martial arts, how to use various weapons and many other techniques of destruction. The site of action Hong Kong is divided into several different districts (from the glamorous Central HK to poor Aberdeen). Of course, there are many side quests and challenges in the city that add variety to the fun. An important element of the game is the moral aspect of the work of an undercover detective, strongly inspired by Splinter Cell: Double Agent. The player must be careful not to drag his hero to the dark side on the one hand, and on the other - to maintain the trust of new employers. Inspirations by countless American and Asian action films are also visible in the restyled, expressive setting of the production. The game captures the atmosphere of the East Asian metropolis well. Even its original version looked quite impressive, while the Definitive Edition introduced a lot of graphical improvements, including hero faces, particle effects, environment draw range and increasing the number of destructible objects. Some changes also took place in the gameplay itself - for example, the difficulty level of challenges that previously turned out to be too easy or too difficult has been rebalanced. The Definitve Edition includes all 24 add-ons that were previously released for the version designed for the seventh generation hardware platforms. Quantum Conundrum is a first-person puzzle game that uses the mechanics of manipulating dimensions. The production was created in the Airtight Games studio, and the main designer of the Portal game, i.e. Kim Swift, participated in the work.  We play the role of a young boy whose uncle is a brilliant, but at the same time highly eccentric inventor, Professor Fitz Quadwrangle. One morning the kid's mother drops him off at the door of a scientist who is completely unprepared for this visit. Fitz is in the middle of a new experiment that unfortunately ends in a disaster. The professor is thrown into a mysterious mini-dimension, and what's worse - the last few hours are slipping from his memory. The obligation to save him obviously falls on the boy's shoulders.  Quantum Conundrum is a puzzle game, so we spend most of our time solving puzzles. We use IDS for this, i.e. a special device that enables manipulation of dimensions. There are a total of five of them in Quantum Conundrum. In addition to the Standard, Puchaty is available, in which all objects are ten times lighter. This enables heavy objects to be handled by hand as well as the clever use of wind power. In Heavy Dimension, on the other hand, the opposite is true - the weight of objects increases tenfold, but at the same time they become harder, thanks to which they are not damaged in contact with, for example, lasers. On the other hand, in Free Time, it flows at an exceptionally lazy pace. The last dimension allows you to reverse gravity. The enabled dimensions affect most elements of the game world, although they do not apply to the character we control.  During the game, in addition to logical thinking skills, the player must sometimes show reflexes during platforming sequences. Challenges of this type never reach the level of difficulty known from skill games. Instead, they are just an interesting diversion and give you a moment to rest between puzzles.  Quantum Conundrum is based on the Unreal Engine 3.0 engine. The authors focused on a colorful cartoon visual style. Professor Fitz Quadwrangle speaks with the voice of John de Lanta, who is best known for his role as Q in the series Star Trek. Despite these radical changes, the game still includes elements traditional for the series, such as platforming sections, shooting and puzzle-solving. Story Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light tells the story of the joint adventures of Lara Croft and a Mayan warrior named Totec. The script is not particularly deep, but instead offers an easy-to-digest and humorous story straight from adventure movies. The plot revolves around a mysterious artifact known as the Mirror of Smoke. The main villain was Xolotl - a bane freed from a mirror that has the power to control other spirits. During the game, our lives are disturbed by hordes of dead warriors, huge salamanders and other such monstrosities. Gameplay The game is shown from an isometric perspective and we have no control over the camera. The characters of Lara and Totec differ in both skills and weapons. Miss Croft is equipped with two pistols (with unlimited ammo), while Totec prefers spears. The latter are useful not only in combat, but also in overcoming obstacles. For example, a spear stuck into a wall will allow Lara to get to a previously inaccessible place. Miss Croft, on the other hand, supports herself while climbing with a rope ended with a hook. Much emphasis was placed on the cooperative element. More than once the Totec will walk on the rope, the end of which is held by Lara. He will pay back by letting Miss Croft run over her shield.
