Fear Effect Sedna is the third installment of the Fear Effect series of action games, the first two parts of which were released on PlayStation. The continuation was created by the independent studio Sushee, working under the patronage of the brand owners - Square Enix. Story The game takes us back to the universe known from the Fear Effect series , which combines cyberpunk style with elements of mythology. Action Fear Effect Sedna begins four years after the events of the cancellation of the third part of the cycle. Known from previous games, Hana breaks out of the control of the Triad and chooses a career as an independent mercenary . In addition to her, other old friends return to the game: Rain Qin, Royce Glas and Jacob "Deke" DeCourt. The original director, John Zuur Platten, contributed to the story of Fear Effect Sedna . This time the heroes go to France and colder Greenland, where they explore deep caves, abandoned research complexes, underwater stations and unusual locations inspired by Inuit mythology. Gameplay Fear Effect Sedna is a tactical action game with an isometric view and real-time combat with an active pause . The player controls a team of up to five mercenaries, and each of them has different skills and weapons, thanks to which they complement each other. They take part in a number of story missions, each of which offers a different set of playable characters. In addition to fairly frequent fights, the player has to solve logical puzzles from time to time, related to, for example, opening a lock or disarming a trap.

Its producer is the Japanese company Square-Enix, which has been in charge of this cult series for many years.The main character of the game is Lightning, returning to this position after the second part in which she played a supporting role. However, the game also features the most important characters from previous installments of Final Fantasy XIII. The production plot begins several hundred years after the Final Fantasy XIII-2 finale. Its action takes place entirely on Navus Partus. It is a large archipelago of four islands connected by a railway line. Our base is the city of Luxerion, occupying one of them, on the outskirts of which you will also find large slums. The other three islands offer different locations, such as ruins, forests, temples, etc.The passage of time plays an extremely important role in the game. Producers have introduced a changing day and night cycle, influencing our surroundings. Trains run according to timetables, shops close in the evenings, etc. As the sun sets, monsters, bandits and other dangers also appear. There are also paths and shortcuts that we can use. However, we have to be careful, if we do not manage to get out of a given location before sunrise, we will be stuck in it for a long time and get out only by using a more difficult or circular path. During the game, we are accompanied by a clock that measures the time to the end of the world. At the very beginning, it indicates 13 days. One day in game time equals two hours of real time. By solving tasks and neutralizing monsters, we move the clock hands backwards, using magic and special abilities in combat, or by making certain decisions we move them forward. If we do not pay attention to the clock, we can quickly finish the game before the given time runs out. To fully understand the plot and history of Lightning Returns, we will have to finish the title multiple times using one save.
