Although the core of the gameplay has remained unchanged, and the fun continues to focus on exploration and the quasi-turn combat system, its model and the way of developing heroes have completely changed.  Compared to the two previous installments of the series, containing a lot of steampunk elements, Final Fantasy VIII goes even further, at some points approaching the classic science fiction (e.g. travel and space stations). For the first time in the history of the series, the love theme comes to the fore, which is one of the main driving forces of the plot and the cause of the main character's metamorphosis.  One of the most noticeable changes in Final Fantasy VIII is the visuals, which are a departure from the "super deformed" style characteristic of the previous installments of the series, in which the characters' heads are disproportionately large in relation to the rest of the body. Both the game world and characters are presented in a more realistic way, although still in a typical manga convention. The graphics of the game, character animations and cutscenes look much better than in the case of the predecessor. One element that hasn't changed is the brilliant as ever, epic soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu.

Deadbeat Heroes is a dynamic brawler developed by the independent studio Deadbeat Productions. Story Deadbeat Heroes takes us to an alternative version of London from the 1970s. Superheroes who have so far fought criminals, have died in clashes with more powerful enemies, have retired or are hiding (even the most powerful of them has left the Solar System). A new generation of criminals with supernatural abilities are prowling the streets of the metropolis. The oppressed citizens finally decide to take matters into their own hands and face the bad guys on their own. Fortunately, the lack of innate superpowers is not a problem for them - they receive special gloves from their mentor, thanks to which they can take over the skills of their opponents. Equipped in this way, heroes decide to deal with the threat of The Prime Sinister and his henchmen once and for all. Gameplay We observe the action of Deadbeat Heroes from the camera hanging above the heads of the heroes. The core of the game are clashes with opponents, who have been streaked with each of the thirty-five levels that make up the described production. During the struggle, you should watch out not only for adversaries, but also for numerous traps. The duels take place in real time, and during them, as important as combining attacks into spectacular combinations and avoiding opponents' blows (our players can run on walls, for example), is the skillful juggling of powers captured thanks to the above-mentioned gloves. We have ten such abilities at our disposal, including freezing enemies, invisibility and making rocket attacks with a fist, which Superman would not be ashamed of.
