Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a fun racing game based on the legendary Mario Kart series. The difference is that characters from Sega's most popular brands sit behind the wheel.
The game does not take the realistic driving model seriously and instead focuses on purely arcade fun. The heroes race with vehicles that can transform into cars, ships or motor boats - this is a novelty not present in the previous installment. Through a spectacular and stylish ride, we punch the All-Star belt, which, when filled, allows you to use a number of special moves. The creators also took care of a wide selection of weapons and many different game modes.
The introduction of cars that can transform into boats and planes allowed the creators to significantly diversify the routes. As in the previous part, all available tracks were inspired by classic games produced by Sega. Among the routes we can find, among others a temple with a Super Monkey Ball or a dragon canyon based on the Panzer Dragoon.
The authors offered a large number of playable characters, including Sonic, his friends and enemies. There are also heroes from other series, including Gilius Thunderhead from Golden Ax and known from Skies of Arcadia Vyse.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed offers both solo and multiplayer mode. In addition to the standard online races, there are, among others, competition in closed arenas. Depending on the hardware platform, up to eight players can participate in the game at once.
