The Polish studio Code Horizon ( Big Machines 2017 ) is responsible for creating the title , while PlayWay ( Polska Farma 2017 , Helicopter: Natural Disasters ) took care of publishing . As part of financing the production, the authors launched a fundraising campaign on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
Story
As the main gameplay mode in Gold Rush: The Game is the sandbox Free Mode, the game does not have an overarching storyline, and the player can freely manage his career as a gold miner . However, the four locations prepared by the developers contain unique, Alaska-inspired stories that the player can discover while exploring .
Gameplay
The essence of the gameplay in Gold Rush: The Game is the exploitation of gold-bearing plots in order to accumulate supplies of precious metal. We carry out this task ourselves : we carry the necessary equipment on the truck, steer the heavy machines from their cabins, and rinse the golden nuggets by carefully moving the cleaned material in a bowl of water . The collected gold can be taken to the city, where the blacksmith will melt it into bars. The default way of observing the environment is the immersive first - person mode , which allows us to precisely operate numerous devices (connecting cables, pressing switches, replacing fuel filters, etc.). Vehicles and heavy machines, however, have additional view modes, e.g. a third-person camera that facilitates driving a car or a camera that tracks the excavator's arm and bucket. An example of the gold mining process is as follows : using an excavator or a loader, pour a load of soil into a rinsing machine. The material cleaned by the machine is passed through a separate device - a magnetite separator. We rinse what remains in a bowl of water by hand to reveal individual gold lumps. We choose nuggets with tweezers or a suction bottle.
