The Showdown Effect is a 2.5D multiplayer platformer, referring to the action movies of the 80s and 90s of the twentieth century. The production was prepared by Arrowhead Game studio, known from the very popular and inventive Magicka series .
Gameplay
In The Showdown Effect tried to give the most amazing atmosphere of the classic scenes from action movies. Players take on the role of warriors from different historical periods to fight to the death in multi-level arenas. The plot constructed in this way allowed the creators to include both medieval knights and futuristic policemen in the game. In action, we watch shotguns, pans, lightsabers, rifles, grenades, katanas and many other crazy types of weapons. From the gameplay side, The Showdown Effect is a combination of a platformer and a shooter. The authors created simple and convenient controls and a lot of techniques to eliminate opponents (the mentioned arsenal). This makes the fun addictive. Additionally, players participating in skirmishes unlock various rewards. For the purposes of the game, several game modes have been prepared, in which up to eight people can take part.
