Artifact is a virtual card game set in a fantasy world created for the MOBA Dota 2 game . Valve is responsible for the development of this title - authors of, among others shooters from the Half-Life and Team Fortress 2 series and Portal logic games .
Story
In the game universe, numerous civilizations are concentrated around special stones that allow them to use magic and even raise the dead. It should be noted, however, that the story does not play any significant role in this production, it is only a background story for individual characters and items.
Gameplay
In terms of gameplay, Artifact is a combination of collectible card games in the style of Hearthstone and Gwent with the solutions used in Dota 2 . Each player has his own collection of cards, from which he creates a deck used in duels with other players. The game board consists of three lanes, on which we place hero cards with unique abilities similar to those from Dota 2 . It is worth noting that there is no limit of cards - neither those that can be on the table at a given moment, nor those that are in our hand. In Artifact, we can play alone, but the gameplay was developed primarily with the multiplayer mode in mind . In addition to the classic format in which we compete with strangers, we can also create a game to which we invite friends - then it is possible to modify some of the rules. Artifact has a fairly simple but attractive graphic design . It consists mainly of a three-dimensional game table, nicely designed, two-dimensional illustrations on the cards and various types of lighting effects accompanying individual games.
