Overlord 2 is a return to the concept presented in the first part (not counting side titles) published in 2007 by Codemasters Software. So again we are dealing with a TPP action game in which we play the role of the evil Lord of Darkness to take control of a fictional world maintained in the fantasy convention. The producer of the game is the company Triumph Studios, which is responsible for this series and is also responsible, for example, for the Age of Wonders strategy .StoryThe action of the game is quite similar to the original. We play the role of a new antihero who begins his dark career path - our goal is, of course, to become a powerful and terrifying ruler who would be respected by everyone. There is only one small thing on the way to supremacy for our evil ward - a great empire, modeled on the Roman Empire, whose leaders also want to take control of the world and, additionally, try to eradicate all symptoms of magic. So we must conquer individual kingdoms and eliminate the resistance of this human competition.GameplayOf course, the key to victory are our subordinates (minions), because the game is based on an interesting structure - we move our hero directly, but we can also summon subordinates over whom we have practically total control. The authors have refined this element, thanks to which the hordes of our minions are smarter (although they have never sinned with great intelligence) and more deadly - this time they can participate in fights on a much larger scale, even creating something like various military formations (like Roman legionnaires). In this part, our subordinates can also ruin and destroy various elements of the environment, operate war machines and sail, or finally ride various animals (e.g. wolves), becoming a unit of dark cavalry.

Micro Machines: World Series is another part of the cult series of arcade racing games, developed by the Codemasters Software team. The series was born in 1991, and since 2006, when Micro Machines V4 went on sale, it has not appeared on personal computers or consoles. Nevertheless, the success of his mobile spin-off ultimately convinced the creators of a big comeback. This is how the production discussed here was born, which was released, among others, on the PC, PS4 and XONE platforms. Just like in the legendary original, in Micro Machines: World Series we take control of remotely controlled car models. We have 12 different vehicles at our disposal, including space for exotic racing cars and trucks that wreak real havoc on the track. Individual machines are equipped with a diverse arsenal - we are talking about rocket launchers, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, or even machine guns. Attention is drawn to unusual locations in which we have to fight for a place on the podium. The races take place on pool tables, in sheds, on backyard sidewalks, and finally on the kitchen table known from the original, which is full of obstacles in the form of cups, cutlery, plates and food scraps. Interestingly, the key to victory is the elimination of other opponents, as well as getting acquainted with the individual routes - these are diversified by numerous obstacles like spilled oil, which can be used to turn the tide of the race. In Micro Machines: World Series on PC, PS4 and XONE platforms, we can play virtual competitions both alone and in the company of other players. In addition to classic races, other variants of the game await you to test, including combat in a closed arena in Battle Mode, or popular modes such as King of the Hill or Capture the Flag. It is worth mentioning that in multiplayer you can play not only over the network (twelve players can participate in the struggle at the same time), but also on a split screen, competing with up to three people.

The sequel remains faithful to its predecessor and presents a lot of tactical action with a very simulation and realistic approach. Depending on the nature of the mission, we play the role of commanders of several units taking part in the operation carried out on the small island of Skira (East Asia). This area is at the center of the geopolitical game between several powers due to its oil reserves. Controlled by Russia, however, it is becoming a place of armed conflict due to the Chinese invasion. Our task is therefore to take action to recapture the island from the hands of the Chinese army. Gameplay The creators set themselves a very ambitious task - to show the modern battlefield as faithfully as possible. However, the simulation character has been properly balanced to guarantee spectacularity and dynamics. Most of the elements of the world can be permanently destroyed - this applies to both buildings and our equipment, which can get stuck in the middle of a fight. When sowing destruction, however, you have to bear in mind the future tasks - buildings destroyed in one mission remain in this condition until the end of the campaign. Another example of the detail of the world may be the appearance of the soldiers themselves - they differ significantly from each other, also with the insignia on the uniform, thanks to which the trained eye can easily recognize the rank of a given unit. Missions offer a lot of freedom - we receive individual tasks, but the way they are performed depends on our creativity and tactical sense. The game area is 220 square kilometers, generated from satellite images of a real island. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising offers several dozen combat machines (AH-1Z Super Cobra helicopters, M1A1 Abrams tanks, LAV-25 armored vehicles etc.) and a large set of small arms (about 70 types). Of course, everything is made with great attention to detail and realism, also when it comes to preparing the weapon for use - some of the weapons must be assembled according to the instructions before use.
