The story presented in the production is extremely simple and is based on the well-known pattern of bloodthirsty zombie invasions. In this edition, the role of the protagonist is played for the third time by Frank West - a photojournalist known from the first installment of Dead Rising and the Dead Rising 2: Case West expansion . Gameplay The new part introduces some unexpected changes. First of all, it's about the main character who suddenly appears in Fortune City, a metropolis overrun by the undead. Despite the fact that the games included in the PC, PS4, etc. set have appeared over a dozen or so years, they all have similar gameplay mechanisms. So we get four two-dimensional platformers in which the fun is about exploring large maps, collecting items and avoiding traps. Each of the four versions puts a lot of emphasis on fighting with futuristic weapons. Campaigns are full of battles with a variety of bosses, defeating them most often allows you to take over their unique attacks. Thanks to it, we can, for example, connect two chainsaws with oars, equip a wheelchair with machine guns, or place an explosive charge in the ball. While playing, there are also opportunities to use several types of vehicles.Compared to the previous editions, there is a lot of news. Frank can use an exoskeleton equipped with heavy weapons, providing superhuman strength, thanks to which he can tear out fragments of the environment and use them in combat. In addition, there are two new species of zombies to defeat. The first of them is Fresh, victims of an extremely aggressive version of the virus that transform before our eyes and are much faster and smarter than typical necrosis. In turn, the living dead of the Evo type have increased strength and mobility, and during combat they behave like predators on a hunt.

By many fans, it is considered to be the best game of the franchise. Resident Evil 4: Ultimate HD Edition can boast significantly better graphics with high-resolution textures. It is worth to mention that the new edition added full mouse and keyboard support, including customizable key binds, mouse acceleration, and sensitivity settings.   Storyline In Resident Evil 4 HD we again play the role of Leon S. Kennedy, known from the second part of the game - once a policeman from Raccoon City, and now a secret agent of the US government, responsible, among others, for the safety of the president's family. The protagonist is sent on a mission to Europe. His task is to save the president's daughter, who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances, who is staying there - the trail leads to Pueblo in Spain. On the spot, it turns out that the matter is much more complicated. To complete the task, the hero will have to face hordes of mutants infected with a dangerous parasite. It will also be necessary to deal with a mysterious sect led by the charismatic Osmund Saddler. Gameplay The gameplay in RE4: Ultimate HD Edition remains almost identical in comparison to the original game. The action is presented from The Third Person Perspective (TPP) and the game is an example of a survival-horror genre. During the gameplay, players explore numerous locations, occasionally solve environmental puzzles, and of course, fight dangerous enemies. This time, combat is the most essential element of the game. The protagonist can use a variety of different weapons such as pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, or even grenade launchers or crossbows with exploding ammo. In addition to that, from time to time players will have to complete spectacular QTE sequences (Quick Time Events), during which they will have to press the right button at the right time.   Reception The game gathered mostly favorable reviews. Full of combat and fast-paced action gameplay attracted a lot of fans. Introducing full support for mouse and keyboard is one of the most praised features of the re-mastered edition, as it was the main reason for the negative opinions about the original Resident Evil 4.
