Special independent organizations have emerged that can rent various buildings in the city and carry out various activities not always favorable to our cause. A good example is the Cult of Sirius, which recognizes aliens as divine beings.As for combat and tactical gameplay, everything looks like in the predecessors, we continue to hunt for flying saucers and send combat teams to clear the areas occupied by aliens, collect the remains of their technology and deliver the finds to our scientists, who will immediately examine and adapt them to our needs. Similarly, we continue to manage the entire X-COM organization, hire the appropriate staff, agents, soldiers, etc., set the directions for the development of our technology and equip our bases and people with appropriate equipment.An interesting innovation are the reactions of individual social groups and organizations, i.e. if our soldiers cause huge material damage during one of the actions, companies and people who live in the destroyed buildings will have a negative attitude towards our actions. The player still has to manage the base of the organization established to fight against space invaders, i.e. build new buildings, raise funds or take care of constant technological development. The main difference is the need to play space battles, in which you sit at the controls of one of the allied ships. Importantly, this element completely replaced the ground battles in the turn-based system known from previous games of "X-COM"."Interceptor" is the first game in the series that allows you to fight multiplayer duels in which two to eight players can meet. In singleplayer, the player has to deal with three types of missions. Investigating the places where enemy spaceships have been spotted and making controlled attacks in designated places is necessary to complete the game. The third type of missions are optional tasks, thanks to which you can only improve your final result. The player also has to take care of other squadron members - hire new pilots, prepare additional fighters or take care of the best possible weapons. Technological progress is largely based on Alien constructions. So, after capturing an enemy ship, you can count on additional bonuses. The spaceships appearing in the game can be controlled using a mouse, keyboard or an analog controller. The flight model is quite simplified and far from realistic simulations like "X-Beyond the Frontier".

The Byzantine Empire can subjugate opponents with religious and military might, supported by their two unique units, the Dromon Ship and the Tagma. The Gallic horde focuses on military flexibility boosted by a backbone of culture and production with their unique Oppidum district. Civilization VI is required to play add-on content and some features of the New Frontier Pass require the Civilization VI Expansion Bundle to work. Features Includes the Byzantine Empire with Basil II, the Dromon Ship and the Tagma unique units, and the Hippodrome unique district. Civ Extraordinary Ability: The “Taxis” ability gives units additional Combat Strength or Religious Strength for each Holy City converted to Byzantium's Religion. Specialty districts cannot be built next to the City Center and do not receive adjacency from other districts. Leader Unique Ability: With the “King of the Eburones” ability, Ambiorix’s civilization gains additional Culture based on unit cost when a non-civilian is trained.
