The 16inch Non-tuneable Deep Rim Rosewood Bodhran Introducing our new 16inch bodhran. It’s made from rosewood, which is a particularly resonant tonewood, and it has an extra deep rim of 5 ½ inches. But because it’s a non-tuneable bodhran, it’s that little bit easier to pick up and play, and comes at a more affordable price. It’s made with hand-stretched, sustainably sourced goatskin, and comes with its own hardwood beater. And the rim is taped around its edges. All of Paraic’s bodhrans are taped around the edges as this extends the instrument’s harmonic range and gives your bodhran that distinctive bass sound that’s so particular to traditional Irish music.
